A few years ago I experienced burnout, a truly horrible experience that resulted in me leaving my career as a Director of Nursing and CEO. I was managing over 300 staff and a turnover of 45M, but I couldn’t be the leader that I wanted to be. My temper was short, I was experiencing anxiety attacks and I had lost my passion for the health industry.
It took me a while but finally I discovered mindfulness as a way to reconnect with my emotions, thoughts and feelings.
